CIL 2010: DAY 3 PRESENTED BY BR. RAY BLIXT, FSC
Today our focus was directed to our Lasallian Educational Mission. Our first presenter, Br. Jorge Fonseca, guided us through recent historical and current trends in the Lasallian Education Service for the Poor.
This presentation was followed by a challenging, entertaining, and deeply thought provoking imagining of the Future of the Lasallian Educational Mission. Br. Louis DeThomasis called upon each of us to be “sellers of hope” and to build on the tradition and inspirations of our Founder to become transformational agents. Br Louis called and challenged each Lasallian present to be “repairers of the world” and to be agents of light for the young entrusted to us recognizing the new realities of our world and societies today.
The participants were then invited to spend several hours in private reflection on the future of our Lasallian Educational Mission and the role and responsibility each of us must assume to insure its vibrant and creative future.
Our Dena CIL participants took a photo with Br.Louis and Br. Charles Kitson (Rome Residents who are members of DENA). Photo will be posted on the CIL Facebook Page.
